HVO volunteers needed in Tanzania
The ADA/Health Volunteers Overseas oral health initiative program in Tanzania seeks volunteers to provide chairside instruction and lectures to undergraduate and postgraduate students at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences in Dar es Salaam, as well as provide continuing education to the faculty.
The program also seeks volunteers who can assist with revising the current curriculum for oral surgery, orthodontics, preventative and restorative dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Volunteers also have opportunities to provide continuing education lectures at the annual meeting of the Tanzania Dental Association.
The Henry Schein Cares Foundation will offer volunteers a grant of up to $1,500 to support volunteer expenses associated with serving at this program site. The ADA is a sponsor of the HVO Oral Health Initiative Programs. For more information, contact Barbara Edwards, b.edwards@hvousa.org or 1-202-296-0928.
